Introducing new Jaguar XK 2007
Jaguar to me is always old looking wooden interior, heavy and big engine cc.
But the new Jaguar XK has changed.
Not the fastest car on Earth but changing to light (Aluminium body structure) and more modern looks.
Besides, this model also got Active Pedestrian Protection Bonnet system, where it will pop-up with certain height (about 100mm) when pedestrian hit the sensors on Front bumper.
What is special about Jaguar XK?
Find out more about it.

Go to Kindergarten school
Today, I went to visit one of the Kindergarten school which was near to my house (5 minutes walking distance). It was my first visit to this school and my first experince too. They had given us some explanation about the rules and regulation. Besides that, they had also informed me the teaching fees and payments terms.
The above photo is showing the school uniform, there were 4 different kinds of style and designed for 4 seasons. According to them it was cost about RM1000 per set. Do you believed that much? Actually, 1 set is not enough and I have to buy 4 sets at least. You know how much to pay lah!
Apparently, it was not the end and only the begining, I think others hidden bills will be coming soon.

Comments:
After 4 years of R&D, finally the Satria is launched today. Couldn't understand the additional name means for? Anybody knows why its call NEO?
Exterior Styling looks Okay to me! except the Rims (blingbling type) and inconvenience of 2 doors access. Anyway, still not sure about its performance, I means Engine and Ride handling, therefore I need you guys to report me on test drive feeling. But the interior is looks so-so, nothing interesting to me. I don't like the hand brake handle shape (Kris?), inside handles, door trim (too square and sharp edges) and a small glove box (No space to hide something).
I think Proton is moving to the right direction (With Twin Airbags), just hope that the overall quality will be improved as promised before. For me, I would rather to buy a 4 doors car with the same price (Myvi), I am sorry definately not a 2 doors car for a family usage. Because......it is Not convenient at all!
Good luck Proton, Good JOB!

What is Global Warming?
The Earth as an ecosystem is changing, attributable in great part to the effects of globalization and man. More carbon dioxide is now in the atmosphere than has been in the past 650,000 years. This carbon stays in the atmosphere, acts like a warm blanket, and holds in the heat — hence the name ‘global warming.’
The reason we exist on this planet is because the earth naturally traps just enough heat in the atmosphere to keep the temperature within a very narrow range - this creates the conditions that give us breathable air, clean water, and the weather we depend on to survive. Human beings have begun to tip that balance. We've overloaded the atmosphere with heat-trapping gasses from our cars and factories and power plants. If we don't start fixing the problem now, we’re in for devastating changes to our environment. We will experience extreme temperatures, rises in sea levels, and storms of unimaginable destructive fury. Recently, alarming events that are consistent with scientific predictions about the effects of climate change have become more and more commonplace.

Comments:
Just found this news from Utusan malaysia, its looks special but not awesome to me.
The purple paint looks ulgy and the bumper...... don't know what should I say.
Anyway, I think Proton should focus they works on family cars like MPV and SUV raither than wasting the money to produce such kind of fancy models.

Older sperm becomes more defective, study shows
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sperm declines in quality as men age, swimming more slowly and becoming more genetically defective, U.S. researchers reported on Monday.
The finding adds to some recent studies that have found that, even though men make fresh sperm every day and can father children well into old age, they become less fertile and also tend to have more children with birth defects.
"This study shows that men who wait until they're older to have children are not only risking difficulties conceiving, they could also be increasing the risk of having children with genetic problems," Andrew Wyrobek of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California said in a statement.
For centuries, this tendency toward birth defects with aging was blamed on the woman, whose fertility plummets with age and disappears at menopause. Women are born with all their eggs, and these egg cells mature and ripen as women age.
Older eggs are often defective and contribute both to lower female fertility and a tendency to genetic defects such as Down syndrome.
"Although it is well known that as women age, they are at increased risk for infertility, spontaneous abortion, and genetic and chromosomal defects among offspring, the association of male aging with these outcomes has been less well characterized," the researchers wrote in their report, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
"Our research suggests that men, too, have a biological time clock -- only it is different," said Brenda Eskenazi of the University of California Berkeley's School of Public Health.
LOOKING FOR DAMAGE
For their study the researchers examined sperm samples from 97 men aged 22 to 80, all working at or retired from a government research laboratory.
They disqualified current cigarette smokers and men with current fertility or reproductive problems or who had undergone chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer.
They examined the sperm for obvious features, such as motility, which includes the ability to swim quickly, and harder-to-find qualities such as what is known as DNA fragmentation index - a measure of damage that has been associated with male fertility, successful conception, and sustained pregnancy.
Men usually started to have an abnormal DNA fragmentation index at the age of 56, the researchers found.
For example, they found the rate of genetic mutations associated with dwarfism gradually increased by about 2 percent for every year of age in the men. About one in every 25,000 births results in a child with dwarfism, which affects all races.
"Our sperm findings provide further evidence that men choosing to delay fatherhood may have a lower likelihood of a successful pregnancy free of early loss and gene defects," the researchers wrote.
But it did not appear there was any one good test for healthy sperm, they also found.
"Men with good semen quality may still be at risk for fathering a child with a genomic defect. Our study also identified a small fraction of men who may be at increased risk for transmitting multiple genetic and chromosomal defects," the researchers added.
They said it was important to understand the effects of men having children at ever-older ages.
"Since 1980 there has been about a 40 percent increase in 35- to 49-year-old men fathering children, and a 20 percent decrease in fathers under 30," they wrote.

Technical information: IRIDIUM Spark plug!
spark plug specifications and benefits
Relatively recent advances in fabrication techniques have enabled the use of Iridium - an incredibly hard precious metal, for the construction of spark plug electrodes. Laser technology is used to weld the Iridium tip to spark plugs manufactured by both Denso and NGK. It's worth noting that spark plugs can't increase the potential power that an engine can generate but a more efficient spark will provide more efficient combustion and associated performance and economy benefits. A poor spark from a worn or low grade spark plug will reduce efficiency. An Iridium plug will produce a more efficient spark.
Notable properties of Iridium are its melting point - approximately 2450 degrees C, considerably higher than Platinum, and it's strength - approximately 8 times that of platinum. The table below compares the characteristics of Iridium with those of other precious/semi-precious metals commonly used in the construction of spark plugs.
NGK produce a product range known as Iridium IX and Denso produce Iridium Power spark plugs. Both are very high quality products using laser welding technology and manufacturing techniques perfected over a very long history of spark plug design and manufacture. Both manufacturers also manufacture OEM Iridium plugs, installed in some vehicles at the factory and usually having Iridium centre electrode and platinum chipped ground. Where an OEM Iridium plug is specified there is little to be gained by changing to an Iridium IX or Iridium Power plug. Champion have manufactured Iridium plugs for use in large industrial engines for quite some time but have not yet put any automotive parts into production.
Advantages of Iridium spark plug types
Due to the properties of Iridium, the spark plugs centre electrode can be made with a much smaller diameter than with platinum, Gold or gold palladium and copper/nickel types without sacrificing service life. The spark plugs potential difference is more concentrated at the tiny Iridium tip and hence less 'spark jump' voltage is required - this can be as much as 5,000 volts less than with standard plug types. Ignition is improved and less strain is placed on the ignition system. Benefits of improved ignition/combustion include better fuel economy, increased power/acceleration and especially better throttle response.
Construction of NGK and Denso plugs is similar for the most part, the big difference being Denso's use of a 0.4mm Iridium tipped centre electrode - claimed to be the world's smallest production centre electrode, where NGK's IX centre electrode is 0.6mm. As with NGK Iridium, and indeed most other spark plugs, the narrower the centre electrode is, the lower the potential difference (voltage) that is required to jump the gap between centre and ground electrodes. It follows that the Denso plug will require an even lower 'spark jump' voltage than the NGK plug. The Denso plug also utilises a 'u-grooved' ground electrode which is claimed to aid in the production of a 'flame core' which further improves the combustion process. In theory, all the benefits offered by NGK Iridium plugs are further improved by the Denso Iridium plugs - with the exception of service life. The smaller diameter of the Denso centre electrode means that less wear can take place before the plugs' optimum service life is exceeded.
Denso also manufacture long life Iridium power plugs such as SVK20RZ8, VK22PR-Z11 etc. These maintain the 0.4mm Iridium centre electrode but also have a platinum 'chip' in the ground electrode to allow performance to be maintained for a much longer service life (up to 60000 miles). These plug types are usually recommended for high power turbo charged engines where wear may otherwise be accelerated.

Las Vegas Sands says S'pore casino to break even in 5-8 yrs
Las Vegas Sands, the world's largest casino firm by market value, expects its Singapore casino to reach break even within five to eight years after the start of operations, an executive said on May 30.
"Depending on how well we do, we expect to break even in five to eight years," Las Vegas Sands chief operating officer William Weidner told reporters.
"Of course I hope we do a lot better than that."
The firm, which runs the Venetian in Las Vegas and a successful Macau casino, last week won the 30-year concession for the first of Singapore's two planned gambling resorts after promising to invest more than US$3.2 billion (RM11.59 billion) in what will be the world's most expensive casino. -- Reuters

Comments:
Of course less than 10 years to break even, thanks to donnation from Global gamblers!
By calculation, its means 99% of them will lost and maybe only 1% of them will get small money from the CASINO.
So, Who would like to contribute more to this WORLD'S MOST Expensive CASINO at SINGAPORE?
